My enduring interest lies in work that examines Motherhood and societies collective (or not) responsibility to children. I have explored this with my own children for 15 years using iconoclastic references, pop culture and preoccupation with risk and danger.

My work is realised through my association with artist collective 21CC. Some of our work is autobiographical, not retreating from difficult subject matter; instead challenging ideology that performance featuring ‘non- professionals’ equates to amateur work. Sometimes our work makes audiences uncomfortable, forcing them to confront preconceptions of what an artist should look like. I am interested in how this extends to working with and for young audiences.

Recent work includes Dancer (Unlimited Commission 2014,Made in Scotland Showcase 2016, Total Theatre Award Nominee, Edinburgh Fringe 2016); 43 Percent (Tramway co-production, Unlimited Festival 2016); The Ballad of the Apathetic Son and His Narcissistic Mother (the surprise smash hit of Glasgow’s inaugural Take Me Somewhere Festival 2017, supported by Imaginate.)

We have toured our work to Southbank, 2015; Fierce Festival, 2015; Battersea Arts Centre 2015; People's Dancing Festival, 2015; The Place, 2015 & 2017; Bounce Festival, Belfast 2016; Edinburgh Fringe 2016: GAM, Santiago, Chile, 2017; Nøtterøy Kulturhus, Ibsenhuset, Bølgen Kulturhus and Drammens Teater, all Norway, 2017.

I am associate teaching artist on the Contemporary Performance Practice programme at RCS. Further experience includes roles as Creative Learning Programmer at The Arches and producing the work of Adrian Howells, Mammalian Diving Reflex, Janice Parker and Solar Bear.
