Rob Evans

I am a playwright, director and devisor working across the UK. I make shows for many different ages, but there is normally no upper limit.

Past work includes Kappa, Pondlife, Pobby and Dingan, Caged, Kes and The Voice Thief with Catherine Wheels Theatre; Rudolf and Mikey and Addie with Andy Manley; Mr Snow and The Night Before Christmas for MacRobert Arts Centre; A Girl in a Car with a Man for the Royal Court Theatre; D of E for National Theatre Connections; The Dark (a thriller for teenagers) whilst writer in residence with Imaginate; Peter Pan and The Sleeping Beauties for Sherman Cymru. Dance shows include Tiger, Tiger Tale and Little Red which were all co-created with Natasha Gilmore and Barrowland Ballet.

I am the winner of two CATS Awards, The prix D'Orpheon (voted by children in the South of France) and the TMA Award for Best Show for Children and Young people. Much of my work has toured internationally and is published by Faber, Samuel French and in French by l'Arche. I am currently under commission to the Royal Court and my latest project Level Playing (an experiment in gender for 10 year olds) is touring the UK in November.
