Shona Reppe

Shona Reppe studied Theatre and History of Art and English at Glasgow University followed by a Postgraduate Diploma in Stage Design at the Welsh College of Drama in Cardiff (1992) and established Shona Reppe Puppets in 1996 (now simply Shona Reppe). She creates smallscale touring thratre shows for children including Cinderella (2002) co-created with Gill Robertson and Ian Cameron which premiered at the 2002 Imaginate Childrens' Festival and won a Total Theatre Award 2002 and Ipay's Victory Award Montreal 2003. Olga Volt the Electric Fairy (2007) was co-created with Charlot Lemoine of Velo Theatre France and toured extensively throughout the UK The Barbican Theatre London and The Sydney Opera House, Australia. Potato Needs a Bath (2008) co-created with Andy Manley has toured extensively throughout Scotland and internationally. The Curious Scrapbook Book of Josephine Bean (2011) was awarded a TMA (Theatre UK) Award for best childrens theatre show 2012.

Collaborative and design work includes designing the show White in 2011 with Andy Manley and Catherine Wheels CAT Award for Design 2011 followed by HUFF, (2013) an art installation for children based on The Three Little Pigs won a Herald Angel and a Critics Award for Theatre Award 2014. Magic Sho (2015) was created with Gill Robertson and Ian Cameron and toured Scotland in Autumn 2015 it was nominated for a CAT award 2016.

Shona lives in Inverkeithing, Scotland, and is married with 2 children, a dog called Sushi and a cat called Bill.
