Kristofer Blindheim Grønskag (b. 1984) is a Norwegian playwright. He has written several plays, both for children, youth and adults. His work often takes the view of the outsider, and often tries to explore alternative connections between form and content. This makes texts that sometimes are very open for different artistic approaches, but also texts that are more “set” in the way they work on a recipient. He has stated that he enjoys making texts that does not necessarily need to be the main element on stage, but rather that the text might be one of thousands of possible starting points.
Kristofer’s work has so far been translated to ten languages. He has been nominated, and won several awards, for his work. Amongst others: In 2012 The Beloved won the Amsterdam Fringe Bronze Award. The same play also won the Nordic Radio Drama Prize 2017. Satellites in the Night Sky was longlisted for the Deutsche Kindertheaterpreis 2016 and won the Baden-Württemberg Jugendtheaterpreis 2018. Counting to Zero was nominated for the National Ibsen Award 2018 and was longlisted for the Deutsche Jugendtheaterpreis 2018. Kristofer has been playwright in residence at Norwegian Centre for New Playwriting and Norwegian representative in European Writers Lab.
