Failure Residency - Artists' Coffee Morning

17 January 2020

  • Friday 17 January 11:30

No booking required. Just turn up - the kettle will be on!

The Ark runs free drop-in coffee mornings for artists three times a year so please feel free to come along to another one if you can’t make it this time.

As part of the Failure Residency, The Ark invites you to join them for a special January coffee morning focusing on artists’ wellbeing, in association with First Fortnight festival.  At this dark time of year, if you are an artist interested in work with children, pop into The Ark for a welcoming cup of coffee or tea and a chat with other like-minded artists.

Organisations and artists involved in the PUSH+ Failure Residency will be in attendance, and will be happy to chat about their experience exploring the theme of failure in their work for children. There will also be time to meet other artists, as well as some of The Ark and First Fortnight (a charity that challenges mental health prejudice through arts and cultural action) teams. First Fortnight will share some of their experience in the area of mental health as it relates to those working in the arts, in particular.

This event will be very relaxed - and there may even be cake! We welcome all artists, whether you are new to work with children or just curious, as well as those of you with more experience working with this unique audience.
